Financing through your CPF

The Personal Training Account (CPF) can be used by any employee throughout his or her working life, including during periods of unemployment, to undertake training leading to qualifications or certification. The CPF has replaced the individual right to training (DIF). Employees retain the hours acquired under the DIF.

The CPF can only be used during working life. As soon as an employee retires, their account is closed and their CPF rights are frozen. So, if you decide to take a training course, make sure you apply for it no later than in the year preceding your retirement.
