Find out how you, your family and your close relatives can prepare for the changes the future holds in store for you, prepare yourself emotionally, and make sure you have the support and goodwill of those around you.

Ethics and demography

Between 1972 and 2018, the number of pensioners in France rose from 5 million to 16 million.

The question of how to care for the elderly is at the heart of French political debate.
It's a crucial economic issue in today's demographic context, but also a moral issue between autonomy and dependence.

Each of us has a role to play in this fourth age economy, with the advantages and disadvantages of staying at home, or choosing a retirement home, while respecting the needs and desires of the elderly, so that they can be considered as people, and citizens, in their own right. Taking care of our elders is already taking care of ourselves (P. Champvert).

4 ages of life

Everyone goes through these stages - youth - adulthood - retirement - old age - and each generation is called upon to support another: first parents to children, then children to parents.

For Health & Well-being at work thanks to a lasting personal balance, personal and family life have a strong influence on professional life. Each of us, in turn, is called upon to care for aging relatives, and sometimes encounters very delicate situations as a family caregiver. Caring for a - very - elderly family member can be frustrating, emotional, tiring, anxiety-provoking: both for you, and for the person you're looking after. How can you communicate with the respect they deserve?

That's why I'm sharing with you this meaningful accompaniment!

Intervention in Foyer-Résidence in Strasbourg

Since this summer, I've had the great pleasure of sharing conferences and workshops on the theme of "Positive Health, Well-being and Yoga" with, among others, 3rd and 4th age people in institutions. It's a real joy to share, as are the laughs, smiles and silences that light up our encounters.

  • The classic definition of health according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is: "Health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity,
  • To this is added the dimension of "spiritual health". Spiritual concerns the meaning of life, oriented towards true happiness, without any particular religious connotation.
  • Now, the question is whether there is a way of life, at this age of life, that brings a state of well-being, and whether there are practical ways to achieve it. Yes !
  • Acknowledging all people, old or otherwise, considering them as unique individuals, is the basis of our support project.
  • The journey begins with concrete steps for physical and mental health: postures, breathing, internalizations. The benefits are states of calm and tranquillity, with feelings of peace and joy, signs of spiritual health.
  • In addition to the care and activities already provided in our facilities, we offer a targeted program of support to promote health in all its forms, to create the most balanced life possible.

Professional and human

A sincere and profound application of this vision of the human being brings remarkable transformations to the concepts of health, illness, treatment and healing, adapted to the accompaniment of the elderly, in the 3rd and 4th ages.

Whether you're an elderly person or a carer, it's not about STAYING connected, it's about BEING connected... It's about SELF, a BEING with ALL others. Being with the outside world, Being in stillness. Being at peace. Knowing right now that all is well. Living, Being between many worlds and dimensions, when the body is the vehicle, the breath is the bridge and the soul is the pilot.

This connection gives us the strength we need to get through trials and overcome obstacles, in a life where death is not the enemy but a reality, an experience to be lived.
