  • A one-day preparation workshop, about 2 months before departure (early September), on a Saturday at ARC innovation's Schiltigheim office.
  • Two 1-hour pre-departure synchronization and information webinars via Zoom or TEAMS in connection with our friends in Nepal
  • Teach and Learn Kit on site with Polo, self-reflection booklet, cultural evening with meal in Kathmandu (excluding drinks)
  • 10-day "Teach & Learn" Learning Journey (excluding flight, visa and international travel insurance)
  • daily briefing and debriefing by the coach-accompanist (Petra and Axel)

Depart Europe to fly to Kathmandu

October 20

Early afternoon arrival in Kathmandu - welcome by members of Alsace Nepal and Ethic Himalaya - transfer to hotel https://sampada-garden-hotel.business.site - Welcome dinner with authentic Nepalese cuisine and cultural dances.

October 21

Discover the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal's political and religious capital, and its monuments, such as the seat of the national deity Lord Pashupatinath, the Boudhanath Stupah and Swoyambunath or the Monkey Temple. We'll be guided by someone who speaks English and French.

October 22

9-hour drive by 4x4, through natural valleys and magnificent views of some of Nepal's peaks, to Laprak. We sleep in typical Nepalese trekkers' lodges, with meals prepared for us by the locals.

October 23 to 25

Teach & Learn" experiences in secondary schools (ages 8 to 16) in Laprak - visits from families and children supported by the Alsace-Nepal association (scholarship holders).

October 26

4h 4x4 drive to Gorkha, the birthplace of Prithvi Narayan Shah, who unified the kingdoms of Nepal in 1769, and where the charm of the Durbar palace, from which the whole village can be seen, is still present. Our hotel: https://gorkhagardenhotel.com

October 27 to 28

Teach & Learn" experiences at Kamis' primary and secondary schools in Gorkha - evening visit to Durbar palace

October 29 to 30

Return to Kathmandu by 4x4 - Day in Kathmandu - discovery and shopping

After breakfast - transfer to Kathmandu airport and return flight to Frankfurt or other city

OPTION 1 - SPORTS WEEK

4-day trek to Mardi Himal base camp at 4500 m altitude, Jeep tour to Pokhara and back to Kathmandu, overnight stays in lodge during trek.

Visit of Tilaurakot, discovery of Bardia National Park and activities in the jungle then return to Kathmandu, overnight stays in hotel and ecolodge.
